COGNE ACCIAI SPECIALI leader in the sector of stainless steel production, commissioned Romano Safety Management to survey the office building of the steel plant of Aosta with laser scanning technology.
The survey was carried out using a very high precision laser scanner, owned by RSM, executing about 100 stations divided between the interior of the building and the external area.
The duration of the survey was approximately 2 days.
The scans were subsequently processed in the "cloud point" and subsequently a "solid" model was created in the CAD environment within which all internal and external volumes were reconstructed.
From the "solid" model it was then possible to easily obtain plans and sections of all environments.
The images represent the three phases: relief, point cloud and solid model of the office building.
